Band Bio - Dave

Dave plays guitar for Papa Clutch, and handles a lot of the vocal responsibilities, both lead and backup.   Dave has served as leader and manager of Papa Clutch and the Shifters since January 1989, when the group's founder (Bill Burns) moved to California.   Dave was one of the original members of the Reno-based version of the band.

Dave was born in San Antonio, TX, and moved to Reno in 1979.   After a few years working in a casino, he became a computer programmer, which is what he has done as his "day job" for the last 21 years.  He married his wife Dianne in the summer of 1999.   In 2000, he formed Jurassicom, Inc., a computer consulting firm.   In the fall of 2004, he partnered with Todd Rold to form PCS Audio, LLC, a professional audio company which Papa Clutch now uses almost exclusively for all their engagements.

When he's not working with his two companies or playing with Papa Clutch, Dave likes to fish, golf, bowl, and play bass in the worship band at Crosswinds Assembly of God (but not all at the same time).
