Band Bio - Jerry

Jerry is the second-most recent addition to Papa Clutch, joining the group in December of 2003.   Besides some incredible "chops" on bass guitar, Jerry also brings some youth to the group (at 40, he's the "baby shifter").

Jerry was born in Castro Valley, CA, and has been in the Northern Nevada area since 1979.

Jerry has been a professional musician and recording engineer in the Reno area since 1988, when he started the group 'Rock Animal Cookbook'.   Between 1992 and 2003, Jerry played with 'Band On The Run', 'Impact', 'Madison Avenue', and 'Mansion'.   In the fall of 2003, Jerry left the full time circuit to become the Entertainment and Audio-Visual Manager for Siena Hotel Spa Casino.   

Jerry's playing always seems to be in great demand when bands come to town and need a bass guitarist.   He has played with such artists as the Gatlin Brothers, Commander Cody, and Jesse Colin Young, among others.

If you haven't seen Jerry lately, he's sporting a new look, adding a beard to balance out the ponytail (see picture below:)
