Band Bio - Lee

Lee plays drums and percussion for the band, and has been the "foundation" of the Papa Clutch sound since January of 1989.  

Lee was born in Plainfield, NJ, but has been in Reno since the mid-80's.

You won't hear Lee's voice much when he's on stage with the Shifters (we still haven't gotten him to sing anything), but if you ever use the telephone in the Reno area, you've no doubt heard his voice many times.  Lee was in radio (as a disc jockey) for 25 years (1977-2002).   These days you'll hear him on countless "on-hold" messages (he's the production manager for Muzak On Hold), as well as numerous radio and television ads.   Many people in the Reno area will remember Lee's radio shows on Oldies 104, KWNZ, The Hawk, Magic, and KOZZ.

In his "spare time", Lee also plays drums with just about every other band in town, and teaches drum lessons at Maytan Music.
